Hannah Yoder
Georgia native, Hannah Yoder has learned what it’s like to live being held by hope. She and her husband, Greg have 4 children, ages 8-20. Hannah has served in youth ministry for 15 years, spent time counseling, and has served at New Horizons in Colorado. Through her early life with abuse and her marriage being broken by infidelity, Hannah believes that because of the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, we do not have to live as victims to our pasts or our present circumstances. She is passionate about bringing hope into seemingly hopeless situations, hearing the hearts of those who feel unheard, and bringing hope and healing to broken marriages.

After the Shattering: Hope for Betrayal Trauma
Shari Zook

Shari Zook
What does hope have to say about a husband’s pornography or infidelity? In this session, Shari will share the lies she internalized as a wife, and the truth God is writing in her heart about identity, freedom, and trust. She wants this to be a safe space where the focus is on Christ and his light. Come for yourself or for a friend.
Shari Zook lives in northwestern PA with her husband Ryan and their seven children, four biological and three newly adopted. Her story has held more anguish and more grace than she could ever have anticipated. Shari’s days are full of laundry, online college courses, time with her favorite people, and rewarming her coffee (again).

Hope Has a Name

Hi, my name is Ruby. Thirty-five years ago I married Sam, the man who steadies me every day and I thank God for this incredible gift! Sam serves as lead pastor at Gospel Haven and we live in Mt. Hope, Ohio. Three of our children are married and we love being grandparents to our 5 grandchildren.
So I wonder…..
How long can a human soul exist without hope? Hope is the oxygen of the soul. You may be wondering how much longer can I take this, or how can I survive in this situation? Things are so broken and so hopeless that you have no idea how you would ever find hope again. Sometimes we face big storms that rage and sometimes we face small bumps in the road, but we all need to be reminded that Jesus is our HOPE; no matter what we are facing.
In this session we will be reminded of ways we can anchor our soul and weather the storms of life. Hope is like an anchor into the very character of God. Hope doesn’t prevent the storm but it buoys you to survive it.
My heart is drawn to the heart of our Abba Father through worship… praise music, His Word, beauty in nature, pottery, old world textures, good coffee, good food, and good conversations.
I love to point ladies to Jesus, who so gently turns our faces toward Him and away from the storm, and brings light to dark places! He is our HOPE!

The Practice of Remembering
Scripture is full of stories of people who have forgotten who they are, where they come from, where they are going. Some days our stories reflect the same tendency to forget. This talk will hold a few thoughts on the importance of the practice of remembering and an exploration of some practical ways to do so.

Caring For the Adopted Child’s Heart

Hey friends, I’m Trina Hershberger! My husband Wes and I live in a tiny neighborhood in Massillon Ohio with our two cats and crazy pup. We have a sweet baby In heaven, and that makes me even more passionate about Jesus! He’s my best friend, safe place, and faithful Father.
I enjoy hosting friends and family and serving them yummy lattes, playing pickleball (how Mennonite of me), eating delicious flavorful foods and thrifting. I was adopted as a toddler from a small town in eastern Ukraine, and as an adult spent a rich, almost 2 years in the lovely Jamaica at a children’s home. It was there I came face to face with my emotional pain related to adoption, and man was it a wild ride! I love to talk about the journey that God has allowed me to walk, and the depths of healing I experienced that had felt unattainable. As I meet other adoptees or children that have gone through the foster system, there’s a recurring theme.. the questions are asked, who am I? Am I enough? Am I desirable? Am I loved despite of…? We actually all ask these questions, but this weekend we will apply it to the ones whose lives are touched by adoption/foster care. Our identity is a big deal, and learning how to care for each other is powerful! learning how God cares for us is life changing, and I’m certainly not an expert, but I’d love to share a few tools that have blessed and enabled me in my journey. If you’re adopted, or if you’re an adoptive/foster mom, or just curious, let’s chat.

Jackie (Kenaston) Hershberger
During and following my years of being a widow I became passionate towards the suffering of the grieving. This vision was enlarged as I ministered to refugee widows in Greece, volunteered through hospice to offer tender end of life care for both patients and caregivers. I later became involved in serving on the board of directors where I help facilitate retreats for widows and also speak at teas and banquets for the same.
